Weekly Climbing – Tuesday Night
We meet at Creation Climbing Wall, 582 Moseley Road Moseley, B12 9AA from 7.00pm onwards every Tuesday. SMC members receive discounted entry for indoor climbing plus a free hot drink! Prospective members are welcome, climbing experience is not needed but please tell us in advance if you wish to join us. We then go to The Prince of Wales in Moseley for a drink and banter from 10-10:45pm.
Monthly Committee Meeting
Committee Meetings may be held online or at Old Edwardians Sports Club (“Old Ed’s”) Streetsbrook Rd, Solihull B90 3PE or Flash Climbing, Vulcan Rd, Solihull B91 2JY.
Members and prospective members are welcome to come along to find out what is going on and make their contribution.
Next meeting – November 2nd, 2023, Flash Climbing, 8pm or by Zoom.
Annual General meeting
Our AGM is generally held in September / October. The 2023 date is tbc.

Saturday 28 January – Day Walk, Bredon Hill
A relaxed walk up Bredon Hill from Ashton under Hill, Evesham
Saturday 25 February – Day Walk, Black Mountains
Big day walk, Black Mountains in mid Wales.
Saturday 25th March – Get out on Rock Day, Peak District Climbing
New to rock climbing or just need to dust off your rock shoes? The Peak District is a perfect playground for all abilities of climber
If the weather forecast is poor for the Saturday, this meet will move to Sunday 26th. Venue tbc.
Wednesday 17 May – Evening Walk, Shropshire
Telford Wrekin where the wild garlic will be in full bloom.
Wednesday 7th June – Mid Summer BBQ
Mid-summer’s evening climbing and BBQ at Colehill Quarry
Wednesday 5 July – Evening Walk, Warwickshire Countryside
A summer evening walk from the Boat Inn, Solihull, along canals, fields, fords and lanes – a local favourite!
Friday 15 September – Warwickshire Walk and Bake Off!
A walk around the extensive Hartshill Hays Country Park followed by the SMC Bake Off. Submit your favourite pie or just judge, it’s up to you.
Saturday 4th November – Fireworks! Old Edwardians
Fireworks display with food available, paid admission
Friday 24th November – Annual Dinner, Greswolde Arms, Knowle
