A group of us had an excellent weekend up in Glencoe – shame we had to leave, with perfect conditions on the Monday. Ian, Roger, Rob Trezise and Rob Smith were all there, so it was also a Chairman’s reunion.
With great weather, we got out and did some classic outings, with a good mix of climbing, scrambling and walking – on proper mountains!
Ian and Dave had a big day up Centurion on Ben Nevis then got to grips with a 3* E1, The Pause, on the Etive slabs. Roger, Mike R and Rob S also made it up the Ben via Tower Ridge. Jo took advantage of the splendid weather to tick off the Ring of Steall Munros, then the next day she had a less epic day on another coastal Munro, managing to find a torrential rainstorm in the process. Rob R and Alex explored some of the routes in Glen Nevis as preparation for the Old Man of Hoy later in the week, and Mike D & Ed tiptoed their way up The Hammer on the Etive slabs then had a day climbing mountain routes on the Rannoch Wall.

Here’s the accommodation – can you imagine a better setting?
