A fantastic turn out for the Snowdonia camping meet! A dozen of us camped out at Capel Curig and savoured a selection of North Wales classic climbing venues, with parties heading to Carreg Wastad, the Grochan, and hitting the slate at Bus Stop Quarry. We also had a breakaway expedition to Anglesey for some sea cliff adventures on Gogarth.
Some of the ascents include – Ben and Su – Brant Direct, Richard and Donna – Crackstone Rib (or was it the other one?) and Nea, Pete and Clare on Wrinkle, Jo and Mike on Equinox, Mark and Ed on North West Passage and Fool’s Gold and Dave and Phil on Creeping Lemma and Altantis/True Moments/Freebird. Phil also did Sterling Silver and Scarlet Runner Direct at Bus Stop.
So – lots of classic routes, lots of stars, and a decent smattering of E points. Some of us even made it to the pub for evening banter!
