The weekend obliged – excellent mountain weather on both days, with clean, dry rock and blue skies – plus dry tents and few midges!
Several of us headed to Glyder Fach Main Cliff – an impressive setting for some great climbs and scrambles. Others went a bit further afield – Dasha and Dean getting to grips with the multi pitch classic Lighthouse Arete on the sea cliffs at Gogarth, then Dasha crushed her first Extreme lead on Holyhead mountain – the appropriately named Breaking the Barrier (E1 5b) – great effort! Several of the group also completed their first out door trad leads on Little Tryfan, other adventures included Grooved Arete on Tryfan and Amphitheatre Buttress.
Sue headed out on her bike and had a great ride on the Marin Trail, with other potential mountain bikers choosing rock climbing in perfect mountain conditions.
