Following on from our camping weekends in the Lake District and Snowdonia in June & July, August brought on a belter of a week-long trip to Scotland!
Some highlights of the Reiff adventure were:·
First multi-pitch climb (Melpo)
First outdoor leads, with the hardest being Severe (Ruben and Kathryn)
Corbetts and Munros ticked (Row, Luke, Matt, Kathryn, Ruben and Jeff)
Sea-stack action! First swim to a sea stack (Mark), first Tyrolean traverse (Anthony, Mike, Lou, Rob, Mark, Dasha and Dean), first sea stack climbed (Anthony, Mike, Lou, Rob, Mark, Dasha and Dean). Al’s second ascent of the Old Man of Stoer
Smashed through the VS grade and did first HVS that included a bizarre striptease (Jeff)
Climbing a waterfall (Melpo, Matt and Ruben)
First E1 for over 2 years (Mark)
Loaf of bread made at the campsite (Donna)
Epics in the mountains (Mark, Lou, Mike, Jeff and Paul)
We saw lots of wildlife including deer, seals, sea otters and had a brush with an Adder that could have gone horribly wrong (Mark)
The weather was great (no rain) but more important the company was excellent! We all had stunning trip to Reiff!
